How are you? Remember I told you that we were going to China on holiday? We were there at the end of January when people were celebrating New Year. Well, we had a lovely time! And how do people celebrate New Year in your country? Do you have any special traditions? What is your favourite holiday?

Dear Tina,
Thank you for your last letter. I hope everything is ok with you.
You asked me about my favorite holiday, so it is New Year. In Russia we celebrate it for about 3 days, on 31 of December, all day we cook some meals for the evening table. And on 12 pm we listen our president speech. Then the New Year comes. I think that cooking meals for all day is a tradition. Oh and on 31 of December we watch 2 films(найди как на английском пишутся с легким паром и иван васильевич меняет проффессию).
And what about you? I happy that you had great holidays, but can you tell me more about it please?
